Wage Calculator

Terms of Use

Last updated 10 June 2026

The short version: the calculators are open to everyone, results are estimates rather than advice, and you remain responsible for decisions you make with them.

Estimates, not advice

Results help you understand your pay — they are not financial, tax or legal advice.

No account required

Every tool is open to use straight away. There is nothing to sign up for or subscribe to.

Australian law applies

These terms are governed by Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By using Wage Calculator you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the site.

2. What the service provides

Wage Calculator provides online pay, tax and salary tools, including:

  • Income tax, Medicare levy and HECS/HELP calculators using the published ATO rates for the financial year you select
  • Take-home pay across weekly, fortnightly, monthly and annual pay periods
  • Reverse salary, salary sacrifice and novated lease estimators
  • Side-by-side job offer comparison and a payslip generator
  • A budget planner
  • Public service and ADF pay tables sourced from official enterprise agreements and pay determinations

All calculations use publicly available data from the ATO, official government enterprise agreements and public service commissions. Every result is an estimate.

3. Not financial advice

Results are general information only. They are not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and we are not licensed financial advisers, registered tax agents or accountants.

For advice on your own circumstances, talk to a registered tax agent or qualified adviser.

4. Accuracy and liability

We work to keep rates and calculations current and verify them against official sources, but the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Financial losses, tax penalties or missed planning opportunities
  • Errors arising from the data you enter
  • Rates or thresholds that change after publication
  • Decisions made based on calculator estimates

To the extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law, our total liability is limited to AU$100 or the amount you paid to use the service, whichever is greater. There is no charge to use the service, so the AU$100 limit is the one that applies.

5. Privacy and data

Calculations run locally in your browser and your inputs are never uploaded. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send through the contact form, which we use solely to reply. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Intellectual property

The content, design and code on this site belong to Wage Calculator. You’re welcome to use the tools for personal, non-commercial purposes; copying, modifying or redistributing any part of the site requires our written permission.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Your use of the service is also subject to the Australian Consumer Law and applicable privacy legislation.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
